In the fault lines danst Meg Stuart met de Oostenrijkse choreograaf Philipp Gehmacher, twee lichamen die elkaar bedekken, manipuleren en herstellen. Videokunstenaar Vladimir Miller tovert met zijn projectoren, lampen en camera’s de herhaalde omhelzingen en worstelingen om tot een intrigerende video-installatie.

This alienating crossover between a dance performance and a video installation is a pearl in Meg Stuart’s work. In the fault lines, Stuart shares the venue with the Austrian choreographer Philipp Gehmacher for the second time: two bodies that manipulate and reinstate each other. If you look in the right direction, you will see that one covers the other. Their breaches form a spot to which they keep returning, the place where they additionally break away from each other. A third person is involved in this interaction: video artist Vladimir Miller, who transforms the repeated embraces and struggles into intriguing video installations, using his projectors, lamps and cameras. Casual, affectionate and at the same time demanding.
